All AIRSYS FCBs are upgrade-able.  The upgrade process requires a Smart Key pre-loaded with the system software. We can provide Smart Keys with the latest software version to service contractors and customers for up to 90 days for no charge.  If you are interested in upgrading the software of your FCB, send us an email at ASNsupport@air-sys.com or open a New Support Ticket and we can figure out the best way to support you.  


See below for detailed instructions for upgrading FCB control software. 


Step 1: Load Software

  1. Disconnect J1 (controller power). See Figure 1 for connector locations.
  2. Insert the Smart Key cable into J5.
  3. Reconnect J1.
  4. Wait until the arrow shaped indicator light on the Smart Key is steady green (see Figure 2).
  5. Press the “Start” button on the Smart Key. The arrow indicator light will flash with increasing frequency while the software is loading. A “chirping” sound indicates the software has finished loading.
  6. Remove the Smart Key.
  7. Reset the controller by disconnecting and reconnecting J1 power.
  8.  The FCB Controller screen will display EO. After ~15 seconds, the display will change to 0.0.
  9. Use the Up button to find Set.  Press Sel, the screen should display L01.
  10. Press Up to reach L05 and press Sel, the screen should display FC.b.
  11. Use the Up button to get to PS3 and press Sel. The screen should display 0.
  12. Press Up button to reach 3 and press Sel.
  13.  Press Sel to reach DEF and press Sel again, the display should return to Indoor Temp.

Step 2 (optional): Clear Alarm History

  1. From the indoor temp display, Press the Up button to find Set.
  2. Press Sel, the screen should display L01.
  3. Press Up to reach L06 and press Sel, the screen should display H01 .
  4. Press Up to reach H02 and press Sel, the screen should display NO.
  5. Press Up once to change NO to YES. YES will display briefly, the display will then return to NO.
  6. At this point the alarm history has been erased. Press the Up and Down buttons together to return to the home screen.


Step 3: Turn system back to ON (Automatic mode)

  1. Press Up and Down together to get back to the Indoor Temperature.
  2. Press Down to until OFF is displayed.
  3. Hold Sel for 3 seconds. Both up and down buttons should be lit and active alarms will be displayed (if there are any).
  4. Press Up and Down together to get back to the Indoor Temperature.
