Background: This bulletin provides step-by-step instructions for changing the heater setpoint from 50 to 45°F.

Instructions

Note: The heater setpoint is set by changing the differential between the heating and cooling setpoints. The correct differential is calculated by subtracting the desired heater setpoint from the cooling setpoint. The instructions below assume a cooling setpoint of 79°F. If this is not the case, 45 should be subtracted from the cooling setpoint to obtain the correct differential.

Changing the Lead Unit Heater Setpoint

  1. Press Up and Down together to return to the indoor temperature.
  2. Press Up until Set is displayed.
  3. Press Down and Sel together, the screen should display a flashing 0. If this is not the case, return to step 1.
  4. Press Sel, the screen will display Stp.
  5. Press Down until H02 is displayed and press Sel.
  6. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the Lead Heater Turn On Differential. Assuming the main setpoint is 79°F, changing this value to 34°F will result in a lead unit heater setpoint of 45°F (79-45 = 34).
  7. Press Sel, H02 should be displayed.

Changing the Low Temperature Alarm Setpoint

  1. From H02, press Up until Lt is displayed and press Sel.
  2. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the Low Temp Alarm Differential. Assuming the main setpoint is 79°F, changing this value to 39°F will result in a Low Temp Alarm Setpoint of 40°F (79-40 = 39).
  3. Press Sel to confirm the setting, then press Up and Down together to return to the indoor temperature.

Changing the Lag Unit Heater Setpoint

  1. Press Up until Set is displayed.
  2. Press Down and Sel together, the screen should display a flashing 0. If this is not the case, return to step 1.
  3. Press Up until the screen displays 6 and press Sel, the screen will display L01.
  4. Press Up until the screen displays L05 and press Sel, the screen will display F01.
  5. Press Up until F36 is displayed and press Sel.
  6. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the Lag Heater Turn On Differential. Assuming the main setpoint is 79°F, changing this value to 34°F will result in a lag unit heater setpoint of 45°F (79-45 = 34).
  7. Press Sel to confirm the setting, then press Up and Down together to return to the indoor temperature.
